British Columbia. The West Kootenay Women’s Association and Amnesty
International Nelson screened three films celebrating the
achievements of women as agents of change and the need to continue
to take action for women’s human rights. This was on the eve of the
30th anniversary of the 1979 UN Convention on the Elimination of
All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.
