STRONG COFFEE
was screened at the
European Social Forum in Malmö, Sweden on September 21st,
2008. More than
20,000 people were expected to participate in the forum, which is a
meeting place for social movements in Europe. STRONG COFFEE
was shown at a film seminar
organized by Amnesty International Malmö Groups and run by Diana
Mulinari, professor in Gender Studies at Lund University who has
written extensively on gender and “development” in Latin America
and looks at how inequalities are produced and reproduced through
social relations of class, “race” /ethnicity, gender and sexuality.
